Topics covered will vary from year to year. Students will engage in a variety of learning styles and strategies, but mostly it will be a ‘hands on’ course.
Topics include: game design, drafting, metal working, wood working, printmaking, stop animation and design.
Evaluation The course evaluation will be based primarily on the quality of project work produced and the effort students demonstrated during class time.
Engagement/ Participation refers to how you engaged with the process - arriving with an open mind and natural curiosity, to engage with the material and techniques presented to you and to give your best effort to every project and design challenge.
Projects are assign each term and must be submitted for assessment within that term to arrive at your grade. Projects will be discussed and decided upon between yourself and your instructor. Sometimes you maybe working on something unique that require alternative deadlines. Whole class projects should adhere to the teachers due dates, and you should make arrangements if you are unable to complete your projects by the assigned date.
Assessment and Evaluation Each student is assessed as an individual. Class exercises, and projects are reviewed informally for students learning and then formally during class critiques and using assign criteria. Studio Assessment can be found at: msslabrie.weebly.com/studio.html
